Tri Unify 2009 Election Announcement
The Tri Unify Board of Directors are completing the 2009 term and are looking for individuals interested in serving on the 2010 Board. Elections to select the new Board will take place between October 26th and November 9th.
Positions to be Elected:
Executive Board • President • Vice President • Secretary • Treasurer • Technology Director
At Large Board • Youth Director • Maximum (4) Four At–Large Board Member Positions
*Note: The Ex-president shall serve on the 2010 Board as President Ex-officio.
Nominations
Each interested candidate should send a statement of interest to contact@triunify.com on or before October 23, 2009 which includes the following:
• Full name, phone number, email address • Position of interest • Short bio/Statement of Interest • Picture if you would like to include it with your statement of interest • (If under the age of 18 include letter of consent from a parent or legal guardian.)

October 12, 2009 Nominations Open October 23, 2009 Last day for receiving nominations October 30 – November 13, 2009 Online Voting (Note changes in red) November 16, 2009 Announce election results November 18, 2009 New Officers assume positions November 18 – January 15 First meeting of the new Board of Directors
Eligibility
Executive Board of Directors (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Technology Director) • Tri Unify members registered in our database by October 12, 2009 • Residents of the DC/MD/VA area • Min. 21 yrs of age
At-Large Board of Directors ((5) Five At Large Directors, Youth Director) • Tri Unify member registered in our database by October 12, 2009 • At – Large member must be minimum 21 yrs of age • Youth Director must be minimum 13 yrs of age
Voters • Must be a registered Tri Unify member in our database by October 12, 2009
Description of Positions and Duties
Duties of all Board Members
All Board Members shall serve a term of 1-yr.
All Board Members shall chair or co-chair a committee. The committees will be established and responsibilities determined by the new Board of Directors following the elections.
All Board members must attend a minimum of (4) four Board meetings in person or via conference call.
President The President shall preside over all meetings, events, and activities of the Board of Directors and of the general membership. The President may not serve consecutive terms as President of the Board.
Vice President The Vice President shall fulfill all duties and exercise all powers of the President in his/her absence.
Secretary The Secretary shall perform all duties including but not limited to: -Keeping and distributing the minutes of all meetings of the Board of Directors and of the general membership. -Maintaining a Tri Unify membership roster. - Preparing and distributing all notices of meetings and events to Tri Unify members.
Treasurer The Treasurer shall perform all the duties including but not limited to: -Preparing an annual Tri Unify budget. -Collecting and maintaining full and accurate records of all funds raised by Tri Unify. -Making monthly financial statements available to the Board of Directors and/or Club members upon request. -Filing any and all tax reports.
Technology Director The Technology Director shall perform all duties incident to the web function, including but not limited to changing, updating and monitoring the website.

The election for the Board of Directors will begin Friday, October 30th. You will receive an email with a ballot link sent to the address you have listed in your tri unify account. Please make sure your address is current. To do so:
Click on MY CONTROLS (at the top of the page) Click on OPTIONS (on the left side of the page) Click on CHANGE EMAIL (on the left side of the page)
